| In a continent both varied and colourful, designer, Kerry Goodwin, found herself spoilt for choice. After a thorough study of versions in golden yellow, green and black, she opted for the familiar red Kangaroo Paw found in the bushland of Darling Scarp and, of course, much further afield. Drawn on one of the oldest and most popular shapes to have emerged from Moorcroft in the past hundred years, red Kangaroo Paw flowers surge up the elegant neck of the vase, clinging to its contours as they do so. The impact is strong. Kangaroo Paw is both vibrant and richly colourful, as befits one of the most familiar Australia flowers known to the work as well as being the official floral emblem of Western Australia. Kangaroo Paw is a numbered edition. |
